Our Save the Whale Sensory Tray brings together sensory play and early writing exploration in one playful, hands-on resource.
Designed by Play With Elorias, the tray features our āSave the Whaleā design with specially created pre-writing divots and directional arrows incorporated into the lettering. These tactile features give little fingers a pathway to follow, encouraging children to explore the movements and directionality used when beginning to form letters.
Children can trace the pathways with their fingers, follow the arrows, fill the recessed areas with sensory materials or simply incorporate the tray into their ocean-inspired play.
Production Time
All Play With Elorias 3D printed products are made to order. Please allow approximately 7ā10 business days for production before your order is ready to be shipped.
Supporting First Writers
Before children are ready to confidently put pencil to paper, they can explore the movements, shapes and directionality involved in writing in lots of different ways.

Designed & Made by Play With Elorias
The Save the Whale Pre-Writing Sensory Tray is designed by me and 3D printed in our Play With Elorias studio in Victoria, Australia using PLA filament.
PLA is a plant-derived material commonly made using renewable resources such as corn starch or sugarcane, making it a more environmentally conscious alternative.
As every tray is individually 3D printed, slight variations, visible layer lines or tiny imperfections may occur. These are a normal part of the 3D printing process.
Care Instructions
ā¢ Wipe clean with a soft, damp cloth and allow to air dry completely.
ā¢ Do not soak or submerge in water.
ā¢ Do not place in the dishwasher.
ā¢ Keep away from high temperatures, heaters and prolonged direct sunlight, as PLA can soften or warp when exposed to heat.
ā¢ Store in a cool, dry place when not in use.
