This beautiful Play Silkie has been made in collaboration with Kalkadoon Aboriginal Artist, Brooke Sutton. The 'Wani-Wani Wantina' (which means 'to swim side by side' in Kalkadoon language) is a beautifully bright and vibrant addition to the Play Silkies collection.
The Kalkadoon people, from the Mount Isa area in Queensland, have a strong connection to the sea. They used to travel north to the gulf country to hunt and gather food, and ‘Wani-Wani Watina’ depicts the graceful agility and beauty of the sea and the sea creatures.
Measuring 90cm by 90cm these are incredible resources for imaginative play, sensory exploration and dress-up fun. These silks are incredible quality, crafted from 100% 8mm pure mulberry silk and will withstand anything from knots to rough toddler play.
You don't even have to stress if it gets dirty as Play Silkies are easy to clean. Simply give it a hand wash and hang it out to dry and it will be ready for a new adventure soon.
Rated safe for all ages and certified by AU and EU standards, you can trust that your child is playing with a safe and high-quality toy.
